Data Entry & Imports
How do I add many records at once instead of one by one?
Use the Import function. Navigate to the relevant table (e.g. Assets, Valuations, Transactions), click the import icon in the bottom-right corner, and upload a CSV or Excel file. The import process has four steps: Upload, Column Mapping, Dry Run preview, and Confirmation.
Where can I find import templates?
Import templates are available in the Support Hub. There is at least one template per table. Each template includes a READ.ME sheet explaining every field, its functional meaning, and the required formatting.
My entry icon is showing red — what does that mean?
A red icon indicates that required information is missing or incorrect for that entry. Hover over the red icon to see a description of the issue, or open the entry to see which specific fields are highlighted in red. It is recommended to resolve all red entries before running a report refresh, as they can affect reporting accuracy.
Can I update existing records in bulk?
Yes. Export the relevant table to CSV or Excel, make your changes locally, and reimport the file. For edit imports, make sure the ID column is included in your file — Finticx uses it to identify which existing records to update.
